During his 16 years as Mayor of Pea Ridge, Jackie Crabtree has worked tirelessly to improve the community.

Areas he focused on are;

Street Maintenance and Master Street Plan

·       Improved street maintenance program

·       Snow and ice removal in winter

·       Streets were categorized

·       Improvement guidelines determined

·       New street locations proposed

·       Developed a planned street overlay program

Weston Street Project

·       Three lane road improvement with sidewalks from Hwy 72 to Hwy 94.

·       Improved traffic flow for High School, Middle School, Elementary School

Drainage Ordinance

·       Construction drainage requirements established

·       Subdivision construction standards established

Pea Ridge Historical Business District established

·       Pea Ridge Historical Business district is on the National Register of Historic Places

Prescription discount card

·       Provides citizens of Pea Ridge and surrounding areas who have no prescription insurance with discounts for pharmaceuticals.

·       No sign up required

·       No fee charged

Park Upgrades include

·       Additional equipment and walking trail

·       Created a new park in Givens Place subdivision

·       Added a new restroom at the city park

City Website was created to aid citizens in accessing city services and information.

Computerized building permit and inspection tracking system

Remodeled City Hall

·       Former fire station structure next to city hall remodeled for new council court room.

·       City Hall offices remodeled

New Police Station

·       Purchased new building for the police department

·       Increased office space for department

·       Allowed old police department to be used by the fire department

Increased Staffing at Fire / Ambulance

·       We currently have staff at the fire department seven days a week from 8 am to 5 pm.

Secured new physician for community

·       After Mercy Health closed their doctors office, worked to bring another health care provider and physician to the city

Strengthened relation with the Pea Ridge National Military Park

Established relationships with county, state, and federal officials

City wide cleanup

Training employees to be ready for Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System also known as MS4 regulations
